It starts with the Annual Leadership Summit, where 35 young women from Rwanda, Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda are invited to participate in this unique 5-day regional convening of the next generation of African women leaders. The week includes dynamic days using dance, theater, music, and painting to explore girls' human rights, develop leadership skills and create strong bonds between girls from neighboring countries. Girls have the chance to participate in site visits to Nairobi to meet women leaders working in business and social change. After the Summit, girls should be ready to embody their leadership learning in their schools and communities by working with their mentors to lead and participate in Creative Social Actions to challenge the norms that stand in the way of accessing their rights. Cost per girl: US$250 Please Note: Registration is open only to invited eligible organizations who have completed the application process.
